This beautiful island off the coast of Naples, has long lived in the shadow of its infinitely more famous older sister, Capri. In the last years this has changed however, with travelers increasingly turning to Ischia to vacation at a slower pace, enjoying long days at the beach or at one of the islands many thermal spas.
Wine production in Ischia has also reached interesting levels with local producers offering some great whites based on local grapes such as the Biancolella.

Addicted to traveling for as long as I can remember, I make a point out of visiting at least four new countries every year. In 2024 I have more than doubled that thanks to cruising on Virgin Voyages and an epic road trip through the Balkans.
Over the course of my life I have been lucky enough to live in places as diverse as Oslo, London, Paris, Rome, Beirut, Bahrain, Rio de Janeiro, Bali and Düsseldorf. Each one of those places have given me something, whether it be the language, the food or the extraordinary people I met. However, Italy is forever going to be my boomerang country and where I will settle down for good. Eventually.
